I loved the story, I really enjoyed this game. I hope you can continue making more, the art of the game and its scenes are incredible. I hope you make another game so I can cry at the end of the novel haha i loved it!!
Let's start with the conclusion: this is a very good visual novel!
I am a Chinese player who wrote this review using translation software. I am not sure if you can understand it, but I will try my best to use more formal language to ensure the accuracy of the translation. Thank you for your understanding!
Although I feel a bit embarrassed, I admit that my sexual fetish includes dragons, which should be understandable, right? Ha ha ha.
Speaking of which, when I saw the cover of this game, I was deeply attracted. I have never seen a dragon game with such a cute art style before! After downloading and playing for a while, I realized how great this game really is!
All the images are so fresh and natural, and this strong sense of immersion often makes me unconsciously feel like I have really traveled back to the world where Lark and the others are located!
Especially noteworthy is the background music, which is very warm and healing, sometimes cheerful, sometimes soothing, sometimes sad, making my heart fluctuate with my experience with Lark. The combination of words and music makes me feel completely immersed in Lark's inner world, which I cannot forget for a long time.
Also, I really want to emphasize once again: your painting skills are really not inferior! All the characters are so exquisite, all the backgrounds are so ordinary and warm, and some details are handled so well! When I choose different options to trigger different storylines, Lark's micro expressions are all different. From these subtle expressions, we can see her true thoughts. You have brought Lark, this virtual character, to life, which is an experience I have never had in other visual novel games. In this regard, you have won!
In terms of plot, I am a sentimental romantic and perfectionist, so I am more inclined towards a romantic ending. In fact, Lark is so cute that I really can't bear to refuse her every request, and in reality, I am no exception. Therefore, I have been working hard to ensure that our character can be with Lark in the end. Obviously, you have given the romanticists a great way out, because in the romantic ending, we are really with Lark, and I believe they will always be together and never abandon each other! Seeing this ending really makes me feel very gratified! Lark has chosen the right path! As for the Platonic ending, I think I will never trigger it because I really can't bear to see an imperfect ending.
I have learned a lot from your games. Yes, isn't life all about making choices? Hahaha, may we all make the right choices like Lark! Life is worth looking forward to!
Looking forward to the plot of other routes in the future, and I am also very grateful to you for creating this game. I will always cherish this special game, and once again, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude. You really put your heart into it!
Finally, I would like to create some fan fiction and illustration works and publish them on our Chinese novel website. This may involve a lot of original content from your games, and I will clearly indicate the source of the original works. I just hope to share such a good story with more dragon loving friends, so I need your opinion now. If you agree, please take the time out of your busy schedule to reply to me! be deeply grateful!
Wow, the ending of Perihelion hit me hard. I feel empty after finishing it. I understand why Lark accepted the opportunity to attend Port Amphiptere University, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'm glad she planned for someone to care for her grandmother, but can't we just stay and help her grandma? I think we have to leave Snapdragon town too, I think.
The game is relatable, and I wish my life could be as wholesome and amazing as the story. As I start my last year of high school, I'm excited and scared. I hope my life can be a bit like this game full of meaningful interactions and personal growth.
Even though I chose the romantic route, I don't have much interest in crushes or relationships in real life. The game made me see things differently, but if faced with a similar situation, I’d probably choose to stay friends. Lark is such a sweet and kind. I always choose to help her because that's how I am in real life, nice and reliable, though sometimes people take advantage of that.
I love how the dragons don’t mind that I’m the only human, well, I'm aware that there are other humans too but it doesn't matter for now, I'm still curious where the other humans are.
The Perihelion's music, especially the main menu track "Dream Culture," is kinda nostalgic, you guy's really perfectly choose the right music tracks for the game.
BRO I CAN DRAW A DICK AT THE COOKIE EVENT?!! 💀THIS IS WAY TOO FUNNY 😂 please make more of these funny shenanigans stuff.
I'll replay the game, really look deep into the lore and stuff, choose other options and unlock new dialogues.
Overall, it's absolutely amazing and quite relatable, funny, and sometimes sad. I'll always appreciate this game and its creators. I'll cherish this game forever. Thank you for creating something so special.
Update: I played the game again to explore different options and, oh... Uh... Damn... it's heartbreaking to see the consequences of rejecting Lark's offer for the Draconid date. Lark's sadness really affects me, and it has made me sad too to see her like that. The ending is very sad, as I'm alone and thinking that Lark is having the best time with her friends while I'm just at home, lonely... This visual novel game has a strong emotional impact. I'm so grateful to pick the romantic route that I experienced in my first playthrough.
I'm still not done with the game yet. I'm trying out all the options I haven't chosen, exploring every corner for new dialogues, secrets, and hopefully I can connect all the pieces together and discover more about the game. I also plan to TRY (I suck at drawing) creating fan art and explore further.
Ending: Romantic route
Ending: Rejected route
I'm looking forward for new stuff in the future :D
All you have to do is unzip the folder you downloaded and then run PERIHELION.exe which is in the very first folder you click into. Hope that helps, let me know if you run into any more issues
The game is still a work in progress and the content may change at any time, so we are holding off on any official translations until the full game is complete. Thanks for your interest.
This is a great visual novel. Incredible work and amazing art. I thoroughly enjoyed the story so much that I wanted more. But My only complaint is on the romantic ending, you don't even get to have a kiss. Let us kiss the dragon.
I enjoyed whats available so far, Lark's story definitely had me tearing up.
There is one thing I didn't like however. If you ignore the art, it's basically impossible to tell the characters are dragons based on the writing. Very little mention is given to their nonhuman features and it kind of makes it hard to remember it's a story about humans and dragons, not just humans.
I'm not sure if I got the romantic ending or not. There wasn't a lot of fluff at the end. Is it the romantic ending if the Draconid night is considered your first date?
This is really enjoyable already even with just the Lark route, and has jumped up to one of the full game releases I'm looking forward to the most. Lark's story hit hard, and the dragon designs have so much variety to them and all look amazing.
Also Nami is hilarious. "Going for a smoke break" - you're made entirely out of bones??
I absolutely love and adore Nami. I hope we can get more interactions with her! Maybe even a whole route? I don't know what y'all have planned, but you're doing great! Thanks for making this dragon game! I hope this gets more attention as you guys progress! Dragon games are super underrated!
Thank you so much! I will share this with my friends and others! I am so excited to see another dragon romance game! I really look forward to seeing how it progresses! Good luck!
To clarify, are you seeing no download options at all or just no download for windows specifically? If it's the latter, then that's intended- the PC download will work for both windows and linux.
when i select the orange Download button labeled PERIHELION_DEMO-0.3.2-pc.zip it brings up the download pop up window but there is no file to choose. Hitting the red Install button on the itch app does the same thing. ie there is no file to dl = / just checked and there is nothing under the mac button either
Hmm you shouldn't need to choose a file since each option (mac/pc) only contains one zip file... can you post a screenshot of the download pop up window that you're getting? No one else has reported this issue so far and I've tested that the download works on firefox, chrome, and edge, so it might be something to do with your browser on your end. Sorry you've been having issues with this, if I can't get the itch.io download to work I might be able to send you a github download link to play the game.
There shouldn't be a file to choose as the download is supposed to start automatically. In my case there's also a pop-up and no file to choose but the download starts immediately, so something blocks your download, actually that window even tells about checking pop-up blocker if the download doesn't start.
I'm getting the same issue when trying to download from the itch.io app on Windows. There is nothing to select and when you click install nothing happens. If you try to install again I get an error.
Sorry about that, it turns out the error is exclusive to the itch.io app and was caused by me forgetting to mark each download with which OS it's for. Please try again and let me know if you run into any more issues!

Fanwork of any kind is OK as long as no one is making money from it. Thank you so much for your kind review, we're so glad you enjoyed our game!
im so excited to see more from this game!!!
This game is awesome. Very emotional and Lark is lovely. Can't wait to see more.

I can't seem to figure out how to run this game after downloading it and I couldn't find anything telling me what to do. Please help

Can I translate the game into Russian?
The game is still a work in progress and the content may change at any time, so we are holding off on any official translations until the full game is complete. Thanks for your interest.
The character designs are super cute and they all have such fun personalities. Can't wait to see more of the worldbuilding and such in future updates

Definitely wanna see more of Solit too! I'm very curious to see if he's practically an immortal or not. He's also very cute!
I absolutely love and adore Nami. I hope we can get more interactions with her! Maybe even a whole route? I don't know what y'all have planned, but you're doing great! Thanks for making this dragon game! I hope this gets more attention as you guys progress! Dragon games are super underrated!
Thank you! We do have a very short "route" planned for Nami that will be included in a future update, so please stay tuned!

Hello! Will there be an android version?
An android version is not currently in development; however if there's significant interest after launch we'll definitely consider making a port!
Good art!
But why do dragons live the way humans do? And why do I live in a world of dragons? I want to know what's going to happen next.
Anyway, I am looking forward to this game! 👍🏻
Bug #1 there is no down load for windows....
Apologies, I was re-uploading the zips to patch out a bug. The download for pc should be up now!
nope still nothing there to dl =
